I attended the Press Conference today for The IBF Heavyweight Championship fight between Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola and The IBF International Heavyweight Champion, Tomasz "Goral" Adamek. This fight is being promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions and Main Events Promotions. The fight will take place on Sat. April 26, Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. and will be broadcast live on HBO's Boxing After Dark.

Arreola, 28-1, with 25 knockouts, will give you 100% when he steps into the ring for this epic battle with Adamek but there are a few questions that need to be asked of Arreola. Will Arroela's weight be down to the 240 lbs he claims that he will come in for this fight at or will he come in at 260 lbs. Let's all hope so for Dan Goossens sake Arreola's Promoter. Will he be able to handle the pressure of having a pure boxer in front of him, shooting the jab at him all night long. Will he be able to cut off the ring when Adamek boxes and moves in and out with his punches. How will this effect Arreola and how will he handle the boxing skills of Adamek. Yes Chris will be fighting in front of his home town and you can bet the crown will be pro Arreola but Adamek will be ready to go to battle and handle anything that Arreola will bring into the ring.

Adamek is one tough cookie and Arreola will have his hands full for this battle of these two young warriors and if Arreola gets hit the way he was hit by Klitschko at Staples center when he face him for their 12 round bout for the heavyweight championship title, he will get frustrated and he will loose his composer and will be just another heavyweight whose dream of becoming the heavyweight champion on the world will have faded into boxing's past of want to be hopefuls. Adamek's record ia a solid 40 wins, 1 lost with 27 wins by way of knockout. Adamek is fighting out of New Jersey by way of Poland and is promoted by Kathy Duva, CEO of Main Events. Mrs. Duva tells press row that Adamke is very popular in New Jersey and has quite the following, selling out the arena when he fights. Adamek is looking to start a following here on the West Coast and if he comes in and fights well on April 26th against Arreola he could do just that. Fight fans here in Southern California are true fight fans and can appreciate a good boxer or they can forget very quickly depending on your performance.

In closing this could be a classic fight and possibly "The Fight Of The Year", both fighters stand the same size both fighters love to punch. Chris states he love to get hit and that is what fires him up. Hopefully he won't get hit to much or take to much punishment at the hands of Adamek. Yes Arreola is the bigger man in weight but he needs to be able to get pass Adamek's jab and boxing skills, If Arreola fights the same way he did against Kitschko, he will lose and his face will be battered, bloodied and bruised. He might even cry a tear or two, drop an F Bomb or two oh I know he will drop the F Bomb. Lets hope not for Arreola's sake.

If Chris wants to hang around in the Heavyweight Division and become a force to be reckoned with. He will need to loose a few pounds, (20 TO 30 Lbs) and stay out of the Strip Bars, Clean up his act, drink a few less Corona's, eat a few less Burritos and it might just do this fighter some good or else he will be that Heavyweight whose dream faded into "The Beautiful Southern California Sunset" along with so many others is this brutal business, The Sport of Boxing.
