MAYWEATHER TRADES WORDS WITH SUGAR RAY LEONARD; INSISTS HE DID IT BETTER...
Disrespectful in every way. It was men like STL that opened the doors for clowns like Mayweather.

Boxing's future and where it is headed.
The sport of boxing as been around for thousands of years and dates back to Roman Times.
Where is the sport headed today and are there any big stars here in the United States that people will latch onto and support. The days of the Ali's, Foreman's and Tyson's have all but seemed to have dried up in a sport that is truly being driving by major dollars these days.
Only time will tell who the next really big rising American Boxer will be and with MMA seeming to run a little bit out of steam these days by continuing to put on remakes of fights that should not be taking place these days. But even so the MMA audience is still very strong and loyal. Boxing has some groung to be made up in order to get back to the big time. People are refusing to pay big dollars for any Pay Per View events these days because of past scoring of such big fights has put a damper in the pockets of these fans. My question to you is who is the next big American rising star. Only time will tell. That's all for now till next time. Keep on bobing and weaving....

The Battle of the Century Johnson vs Jeffries 1910
Jack Johnson vs James J. Jeffries (1910) That was the biggest fight of the time and in it's day 45 rounds it was the battle of the century back then. The entire nation was taken back by this fight. What if we would of had social media back then or tv... 20,000 plus fans filled the seats for that epic battle in Reno, Nv. The fight was halted by Jeffries corner in the 15th round... Johnson earned the equivalent of 1.6 million for that fight... He was the Mayweather of his day.... He was quite controversial for his day as a fighter and champion of the world.....
How would a fighter like Jack Johnson due in today's world of boxing.... As far as his antics, he would more than likely fit right in.... He married 3 times, and his wife' were all 3 white...... He was the superstar of his day, earning large sums of money for appearances in movies and commercials.
Johnson was in incarcerated in 1912 for 1 year for violating the Mann Act... (Transporting women across state lines for immoral purposes) While in prison he was ranted a patten for a tool that he invented. He had been up for a pardon, which he would fail on numerous occasions. In 2009, President Obama finally granted him a pardon almost 66 years after being convicted of a meaningless law.....
Johnson fought well into his 60's and lost 7 or his last 9 professional fights..... He perished in an automobile accident in 1946... He was larger than life and he was the Mayweather of his time....
Jack Johnson, Heavyweight Champion of the World.......

The up coming Mega Super Fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM, in Las Vegas Nevada, has the opportunity to either make or break boxing... Yes there have been many mega fights long before this one, that have not lived up to their status in the recent past. Boxing is on a rebound right now and there seems to be a resurgence in the sport, because of NBC and CBS. They have brought back free boxing to TV, WELL ALMOST FREE IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR LOCAL CABLE TV.
The one major thing that needs to be done for this fight between Floyd and Manny is the officials who will be appointed to work the fight. This includes the referee of this so called mega fight. If boxing in Las Vegas wants to truly make a huge come back with the fans around the world and especially here is America, the fight will have to be scored and judged fairly. Yes it in Vegas, and yes there is going to be lots of money bet on this fight,, but can it be judged fairly and without any bias. Only time will tell.
The Las Vegas Athletic Commission has the opportunity to do the right thing here by appointing world class, well versed in the sport, officials. Lets see if they can truly do that, even though, it is Vegas and lord knows million, upon millions of dollars will be bet on this fight. This fight is in your hands Nevada. Lets do the right thing, and even though the motto is "WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS" it will not stay in Vegas this time, because the whole world will be watching you..................
